For Ernestine Meletiou, going to the grocery store is no longer a normal day to day activity. She strives for normalcy by beginning to grow her own garden of fresh vegetables. She learns to cultivate new growth during a time of great tragedy, when the COVID-19 pandemic strikes. As Ernestine prepares her soil for new life and processes the gravity of the situation at hand, she recounts old memories of her husband’s gravest moment. Finally, Ernestine offers a dose of perspective for us all as we accompany her on one of her first outings back into the world and learn of all the things she is most grateful for in her life.
