DIRECTOR BIO:
Jacob Piller is a director known for his nostalgic and timeless films that resonate with audiences across generations. From a young age, Jacob was captivated by storytelling, starting his journey at just 12 years old by making films in his North Carolina back yard. Armed with nothing but a home video camera and boundless imagination, Jacob honed his craft, creating worlds that blended childhood wonder with cinematic ambition. Jacob’s lifelong passion of filmmaking earned him a spot at the University of Southern California’s prestigious School of Cinematic Arts where he is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production. While at USC, Jacob was selected to direct one of three USC-sponsored advanced projects, titled No Loose Ends. Drawing inspiration from classic cinema while infusing his work with a modern sensibility, Jacob captures the essence of the bygone eras while making them feel immediate and relevant, setting the tone for a career devoted to exploring the beauty and complexity of the past. Whether through intimate character studies or visually striking narratives, Jacob’s work invites audiences to reflect on the past and its lasting influence on the present.
